Why GatiDoc exists
We Kept Seeing the Same Quotation Problem.
Salespeople were ready to sell. But creating and managing a quotation often meant preparing customers, products, specifications and commercial details before they could simply send the customer a price.
GatiDoc started with a simple question: why should creating a quotation require so much work around the quotation itself?
Where it started
The Idea Didn't Start on a Whiteboard.
Before building GatiDoc, we had worked closely with sales teams while implementing 65+ CRM projects.
Again and again, we saw businesses where the CRM could create a quotation, but the process around creating it was heavier than the salesperson expected.
- Create the customer first.
- Create the product before you can quote it.
- Go back to the product master when something is missing.
- Work around quotation formats that don't match the business.
- Wait until you're back at a computer because quoting from the field is inconvenient.
None of these problems looked huge on their own. But they happened again and again, quotation after quotation.
The question
What If We Started With the Quotation?
Instead of asking the salesperson to prepare the software before creating a quote, we started thinking in the opposite direction.
Start the quotation. Add what's missing while you work. Reuse it next time.
A product isn't in the master?
Add it while quoting.
A new customer needs to be created?
Reduce the information the salesperson has to enter manually.
The business needs specifications or additional commercial fields?
Let the quotation reflect how that business sells.
The salesperson is in the field?
Make quotation creation practical from a mobile device.
From quotation tool to sales execution
Creating the Quotation Was Only the Beginning.
Once the quotation is sent, the salesperson still needs to know what happened next. Has the customer responded? Does it need a follow-up? What happened with this customer before? What should I pay attention to today?

The product principle
The Salesperson Should Do the Selling.
- 01
Software should remove repetitive work, not create more of it.
- 02
AI should provide context and assistance, not replace the salesperson's judgement.
- 03
A sales tool should fit into the salesperson's working day, not force the working day around the software.

Founder
Dip Desai
GatiDoc is founded by Dip Desai, after years of working directly with Indian businesses on CRM sales and implementation. The idea grew from recurring problems seen while working with sales teams, rather than from trying to build another generic CRM.
GatiDoc is not intended to replace every CRM, ERP or accounting system. It focuses on making quotation-led sales execution simpler for the people doing the selling.
